Process Operator Chemistry - 5-Shift System

About the job

As a process operator in the chemical industry, you coordinate and monitor the batch production of esters. These esters are used as lubricants and cooling fluids, among other things. You work both on the plant floor and in the control room. You deal with complex chemical processes such as chemical reactions, distillation, extraction and filtration.

What you'll do

• Monitor and coordinate the production process from the control room and on the plant floor
• Detect failures and secure installations for repair, maintenance or restart
• Carry out quality checks by taking samples and analysing them
• Detect, correct and record product or process deviations in time
• Keep your workplace tidy, clean and safe
• Support minor maintenance work and handle first-level troubleshooting

What we ask

• VAPRO B diploma or higher (a Dutch vocational qualification for process operators)
• Several years of experience in the process industry and knowledge of DCS (distributed control system)
• Valid forklift certificate and VCA (VCA is a Dutch safety certificate for working in hazardous environments), or willingness to obtain these
• Excellent command of Dutch
• Willingness to work in a 5-shift rotation

What we offer

• Gross monthly salary of €3,900 to €5,000, including a 30% shift allowance
• One-year employment contract
