Process Operator – Fuel Terminal

About the job

You work as a process operator at a modern fuel terminal in the Amsterdam area. You safely receive, store and handle petroleum products. The work is done in a 5-shift rotation.

What you'll do

• Check installations such as pumps and compressors, and do calculations at the start of each shift
• Carry out dock work, tank inspections, loading and unloading operations, and visual checks
• Communicate with ships' crews and the central control room to keep processes running smoothly
• Respond to deviations and emergencies, and keep the terminal site safe
• Mentor trainees and work closely with the shift team

What we ask

• Several years of experience at a fuel terminal or in a similar industrial environment
• A Procesoperator B certificate, or willingness to obtain one through the employer. VCA-VOL (safety certificate for working in high-risk environments), BHV (company emergency response), and forklift certificates are required. If you do not have them, the employer can arrange them
• Good command of Dutch and basic English. Flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors
