Terminal Process Operator - Petrochemicals - 5-shift

**About the job**
As a Terminal Process Operator you are the key person responsible for the safe and smooth running of all operational processes at the terminal. You are the first point of contact for ships, contractors and colleagues. You make sure everything goes according to plan and safety regulations.
You work in a fully continuous production setup, in a 5-shift rotation, at a highly automated terminal. You work both outdoors and in the control room. You combine physical work with analytical thinking. A good fit if you like variety and responsibility.
**What you'll do**
- Loading and unloading seagoing and inland vessels
- Completing ADN and ISGOTT checklists and loading/unloading agreements
- Carrying out and documenting inspection and sampling activities according to guidelines, including gas, explosion and oxygen measurements
- Performing first-line operational maintenance and reporting faults and failures
- Carrying out tasks such as butanisation, vapour processing, dewatering and pump operations
- Connecting and starting up vapour processing equipment
In this role you use your technical knowledge and experience every day. You take responsibility and contribute directly to a safe and reliable operation.
**What we ask**
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, preferably in the oil or chemical sector. You also recognise yourself in the following profile:
- You have a VAPRO-B or VAPRO-C qualification, or equivalent, for example Nautical Officer
- You enjoy working outdoors and are available for a 5-shift fully continuous schedule
- You have knowledge of technical systems and can apply it effectively
- You are proactive, eager to learn and focused on safety, quality and the environment
- You hold a VCA certificate (a Dutch safety certification for working in hazardous environments), or are willing to obtain one
